Race History

HTU446_Ahead of a Nash

For the last 30 years HTU 446 has been raced constantly. Highlights include winning a first class award four times in the Pomeroy Trophy, three times class winner at the AC Owners Club Sprint at Goodwood, twice winner of the Brooklands Double Twelve, twice class winner of the Brooklands Sprint, twice class winner of the VSCC Autumn Sprint, three times class winner at the AMOC Sprint, first in class at Prescott Hill Climb, first in class at both the Curborough and Colerne Speed Trials.

The car has been raced at Le Mans Legends, the Le Mans Course du Centenaires Avant Guerre and the Silverstone Classic. It has also competed at Brooklands, Donington Park, Etretat, Goodwood, Loton Park Hill Climb, Mallory Park, Prescott Hill Climb, Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, Snetterton and has participated in Frazer Nash “Raids” on the Continent and the 1000 miles in 24 hours.

In terms of speed records, we understand from HTU 446’s team that the car has held the Sprint Record at Brooklands for 2 litre sports cars, Prescott Hill Climb Long Course record for 2 litre pre-war sports cars, the record at Rockingham for 2 litre pre-war sports cars, AC Owners Club record for the Goodwood Sprint and fastest pre-war car in the Lavant Cup at the Goodwood Revival.
